Dark River

Just before Halloween, Teignmouth Film Society are back with ‘Dark River’.

Dark River follows Alice (Ruth Wilson) as she returns to her family farm in Yorkshire for the first time in 15 years after her father’s death. She hopes to claim the farm that’s rightfully hers, but her arrival unsettles her brother, Joe (Mark Stanley), sparking intense conflict over their troubled past. This tense, emotional drama explores family trauma, loss, and the struggle for control. Featuring powerful performances by Ruth Wilson, Mark Stanley, and Sean Bean, Dark River is a haunting story of unresolved family dynamics and rural life.

Door and bar opens at 7:00PM for a showing of the film at 8:00PM.
